I am excited because there are rumblings that Intuit is close to releasing an online version of their successful point of sale software. The current Quickbooks POS releases come in single store or multi-store modes as well as a stripped down basic version. They have the ability to interact with Quickbooks desktop software but not Quickbooks Online. From what we are hearing the new version is an online offering which could have a huge impact to users who wrestle between the easy to use single store and the more difficult with it’s store synch multi-store version. More importantly the ability to finally communicate with Quickbooks Online will be a game changer and will allow for remote support for store owners, their staff and 3rd party accounting professionals. Finally since it will be in the cloud store owners will no longer have to worry about managing upgrades and some of the other issues that they have had to deal with in the past.
As mentioned we just learned about this and don’t know much more at this time. As we learn more we will share it. Please make sure to stay tuned and check back or follow us.
